Following a huge leak a few days ago, Microsoft today confirmed the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will launch November 10. It also announced pre-orders for both consoles will open September 22.
Although Microsoft didn’t say which retailers will offer pre-orders, Amazon and Microsoft already have placeholder store pages for the Xbox Series X. We can also assume retailers like Best Buy, Target, and GameStop will also have pre-orders available.
As for cost, the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will sell for $499.99 and $299.99, respectively.
If you don’t want to pay upfront, you can pay monthly through Microsoft’s Xbox All Access financing option. With Xbox All Access, you can get the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S for $34.99 and $24.99 per month, respectively. Keep in mind the monthly price also nets you an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
Leaks forced Microsoft’s hand, but the company at least confirmed pricing and availability. Sony has yet to make any such confirmations for its upcoming PlayStation 5 console apart from a “Holiday 2020” release window.
