Bad news for Shantae fans living in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand — the upcoming Shantae and the Seven Sirens has been delayed in all three regions.
On Twitter, developer WayForward didn’t give a specific reason for the delay. Instead, it only attributed the delay to “reasons beyond our control.” As a result of the delay, Shantae and the Seven Sirens will now launch June 4 in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
European Switch owners: Due to reasons beyond our control, the launch date for Shantae and the Seven Sirens has been moved to June 4. Other platforms/regions, including Switch in North America, should remain unaffected. We apologize for the inconvenience! pic.twitter.com/8Kt45VZqgV

The good news is the game’s May 28 release in North America hasn’t been affected. Also unaffected is Limited Run Games’ physical release. In addition to a standard edition, Shantae and the Seven Sirens will also have an accessory-packed limited collector’s edition.
Shantae and the Seven Sirens will release on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Apple Arcade subscribers can play the game right now on the iPhone and iPad.
