**Please note that Rockstar Games has yet to make an announcement that they are indeed working on a new Grand Theft Auto game. The following leak is just that, a leak. Take any information presented in this article with a grain of salt. It could be everything or it could be nothing. Now then, on with the leak.
A recently deleted post from text storage site Pastebin may have leaked the possible location, storyline details, even what console the sixth entry to Rockstar Games critically acclaimed “sandbox” series Grand Theft Auto will release on. The roughly 200-word leak may not have been long, but it did give us plenty of information. Let us just hope it is accurate information.
In terms of storyline, it appears that the player will make their way up the ranks in the drug game, in two major cities that most GTA fans should be aware of. “In the title which will make you a kind of a drug lord. You will start as a small time guy in Liberty City doing odd chores and small-time thefts and eventually work your way to Vice City where you will join a famous gang. You will be tasked to look after business in Liberty City until you are brought back to Vice City and soon become the drug lord,” read the leak.
Liberty City and Vice City serve as the primary locations for Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City respectively.
Also, the leak states that the unannounced GTA VI cannot release on current generation consoles, PlayStation 4 specifically, “because of memory restrictions.” Meaning, if any of this leak proves to be true, do not expect GTA VI until the release of the next generation of consoles.
The leak also mentioned these “era” missions, possibly having to do missions from different years or possible flashback sequences and the online aspect. However, both were not nearly as fleshed out as the information stated earlier.
