Announced during today’s Nintendo’s Treehouse livestream, the Pikmin 3 Deluxe demo is now available for download from the Nintendo eShop on the Switch.
Completing the demo will unlock the Ultra-Spicy difficulty mode in the full version of Pikmin 3 Deluxe. The new difficulty option caps your total number of Pikmin to 60, so you’ll need to think more about which Pikmin you’ll want to use.
If you don’t finish the demo, that’s okay — you’ll be able to carry over your save data to the full version. That means you can pick up where you left off if you decide to pick up Pikmin 3 Deluxe come October 30.
Speaking of which, today’s Treehouse livestream provided additional information on the upcoming Switch title. Motion controls and pointer functionality will return as alternative control options, with Nintendo also adding a few other new features. These include the Piklopedia catalog and new side story missions for Olimar and Louie.
As previously mentioned, Pikmin 3 Deluxe will launch October 30 on the Nintendo Switch.
