Speaking with IGN today, developer Crystal Dynamics revealed the betas for the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers will start next month.
Starting August 7, PlayStation 4 owners who pre-order the game will get access to the beta. One week later on August 14, the beta will open up to Xbox One and PC pre-orders, along with every PlayStation 4 owners. Finally, open beta access across all platforms will begin August 21.
As for what to expect from the beta, Crystal Dynamics will include a little bit of everything. That includes campaign content, co-op missions, hero progression, and exploration in both War Zone and Drop Zones.
In addition to beta dates, Crystal Dynamics also announced it will have a second War Table presentation. Scheduled for July 29 at 10:00am PDT, the presentation will further detail what to expect from the beta. It will also discuss what the aforementioned Drop Zones entail.
Marvel’s Avengers will release September 5 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. The game will also release later this year on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
