With Horizon Zero Dawn slated to launch on PC in a little over a week, we now know what specs your PC will need in order to run the game.

Since this is a port of the original PlayStation 4 title released in 2017, the minimum specs are expectedly not as demanding as you’d think. Even the recommended specs aren’t too out-of-reach for budget PC gaming builds, though those with integrated graphics might think twice about this.

Let’s take a look at the minimum and recommended specs:

Minimum PC specs

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.3GHz or AMD FX 6300 @ 3.5GHz
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 (3GB) or AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB)
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 100GB available space
  • DirectX version: 12

Recommended PC specs

  • Operating system: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K @ 3.5GHz or Ryzen 5 1500X @ 3.5GHz
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB)
  • RAM: 16GB
  • Storage: 100GB available space
  • DirectX version: 12

As stated earlier, Horizon Zero Dawn originally launched three years ago on the PlayStation 4. Its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, is due in 2021 for the PlayStation 5. There’s no word on whether the game will eventually jump to PC, though the original game’s success on the platform could provide some sort of answer to that question.
