Although 343 Industries recently showed off Halo Infinite‘s single-player gameplay, details on its multiplayer component remain scarce. A now-deleted listing on the Smyths Toys website might change that, however.
According to the listing, Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer will be free-to-play. This would fall in line with several of its competitors, such as Call of Duty: Warzone and Destiny 2, which also offer free-to-play multiplayer.
This would also further lower the barriers of entry, since Halo‘s single-player and multiplayer components are usually bundled together. That means more people can try out Halo Infinite, even if it’s just the multiplayer.
As for what the multiplayer actually entails, we don’t know yet. 343 Industries will likely show off the mode sometime in the near future, but we’ll have to wait and see if it’ll avoid being the mess Halo: The Master Chief Collection‘s multiplayer was when it launched.
