Following in Walmart and Target’s footsteps, GameStop today announced its stores will be closed Thanksgiving Day in the U.S.
The closures are due to GameStop kicking off its holiday sales earlier this year. “The company is also going to start offering some of its hottest deals of the season earlier than ever before, to make it even easier for customers to complete their holiday shopping,” reads the press release.
GameStop noted customers will have a litany of options to complete their orders this year. In addition to Ship From Store, customers can also pick up in-store orders and, in select locations, opt for same-day delivery.
The retailer will also offer multiple payment options. Two new options include Buy Now, Pay Later and Rent-to-Own, the latter of which will be available sometime soon.
