It has been announced in a presentation by Hasbro that Baldur’s Gate 3 will release in Early Access later this year as well as having other D&D titles currently in development.
During an investors presentation at New York Toy Fair, plans for Baldur’s Gate 3 to receive an Early Access launch later this year were revealed. Larian Studios, developers of the game, has done this with previous titles by including a limited amount of chapters. Furthermore, Hasbro noted that there are seven other titles based on the tabletop RPG currently in development. With plans to release one every year up to 2025, including Baldur’s Gate 3 and the previously revealed Dark Alliance.
Larian hosted a gameplay reveal for Baldur’s Gate 3 at Pax East 2020, February the 27th at 15:30 Eastern Time. Fans can expect story details, a first look at gameplay and a Q&A. Baldur’s Gate 3 is the sequel to the 20 year old game, introducing a new story in the forgotten realms. It will launch on on Google Stadia and PC Via GOG and Steam.
Dark Alliance is a co-op action RPG pitting up to four players against iconic monsters from the D&D universe. It is developed by Tuque Games and is set to launch later this year for PC and consoles.
